wild Wakati Camp

Immerse yourself on safari in the Serengeti

AT THE HEART OF THE ACTION

Wild Wakati Camp occupies a prime position in the centre of the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most wildlife-rich and renowned national park. Experience incredible year-round sights on safari, including resident prides of lion, herds of elephant, black rhino, and in certain months of the year, the megaherds of the Great Migration passing right by your doorstep.

While wildlife can roam freely, Maasai warriors escort guests to and from the camp’s luxury tents each evening to ensure safety. With no fences to restrict access, this provides an authentic connection with nature, creating some truly unbeatable sights while sipping your morning coffee on the veranda.

*A bucket shower uses gravity to provide a refreshing wash.

The bucket is filled with warm water and hoisted into position. A valve-operated nozzle controls the water flow, allowing for a surprisingly effective and enjoyable shower in your private bathroom. They are water-efficient, using only the amount needed, and contribute to a rustic and immersive safari experience.
